The high bull bar is visible in the camera but it’s mounted in a way that retains its usefulness. I only really use that front camera when I crest a hill off road. Helps to see terrain. For that, it still works perfectly.

...Man my rig is dirty lol. Been doing so much maintenance in preparation for a 3,000 mile road trip with the fam. Should really find time to clean the thing!

Not to derail this thread.
But it's funny that you dig this one up now. I was actually looking at Backwood Adventure Mods Hi lite bumper last night.

It's the same weight as the low profile bumpers (80lbs) but offer better protection and most importantly better approach angle. They're expensive due to the aluminum and steel construction but very solid.
The low profile stuff is fantastic if you just need a winch and want an OEM+ look. (At the time, this is what I was looking for)

As I've gotten into more serious trails, I'm growing curious about adding something with better approach angle and protection, while still remaining lightweight. I almost contacted them about relocating the camera... I'm unsure how I'd go about that. Certainly want to keep the factory functionality.

Thanks for the follow up, that helps tremendously! I actually just installed my bumper from Road Armor, so I wanted to compare. My bull bar sits a bit higher, so it clears the camera more, only thing I hate is how much it covers the Toyota emblem, so I was getting FOMO seeing how much better the C4 looks. But it's all aesthetic I suppose.

That said, I'm probably not ready for a full width bumper just yet, still need to do a viper cut for some extra clearance, but that should hold me off for now...

I went with cali raised stealth bumper, cali light bar and Warn Evo 10 winch. Glad i had it. This was late October. Got me out of a sticky situation. Remarkable that no damage outside some light tree branch scratches.

 

Careful with the viper cut. Many people go a bit too high and regret it.
More important than cosmetics, there are some really big downsides. First of which, it exposes the air intake under the fender and above the wheel well liner. Without this area being sealed the chance of ingesting water is incredibly high. If you're set on the cut, I'd budget for a snorkel or at least some aftermarket fender liners like the ones from c4 fab... That solved the problem for me.

Honestly I wouldn't recommend the viper cut unless you just need the clearance for obstacles. No need to do it for tire fitment imo. Plenty of rigs rocking 35's with minor trims instead of the full cut.

Once your bumper corners get trashed from obstacles a high clearance front bumper or a viper cut starts making more sense.
