Does anyone know if the black plastic piece pops out of the chrome housing of the Limited Fog Light assembly? I’m trying to install LaminX yellow lens on fogs.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
You don't have to remove anything to install the LaminX.

    1) Clean the fog light with Windex thoroughly.
    2) Inspect the fog light for any debris or dirt. Make sure it's clean and smooth.
    3) Spray a generous amount of Windex on the back of the LaminX.
    4) Spray a generous amount of Windex on the fog light.
    5) Place the LaminX over the fog light.
    6) Using the plastic tool they give you, tuck the edges of the LaminX around the fog light.
    7) Using your finger, gently work out any bubbles.
    8) Let it dry and then enjoy the fruit of your labor!

Word of caution though about those Lens Cover.
From past experiences. If using halogen fog light bulbs. Those lens plastic covers turn burnt brown eventually.
Safer with Led Fog light assemblies.

Not sure what's the plan you have in applying the film other than the normal way ppl apply. But See if this video help. Not the same but this video show how to remove the entire fog light housing. Maybe you want to apply the film more area than accessible?

Thanks for responses… I hope the LaminX doesn’t turn brown.. I was looking for better access to lamp so I could evenly apply it… I certainly do not want to get involved with wheel well and behind the bumper hence the LaminX.. I’ll just have to use water method as suggested hopefully not creasing or dirtying the LaminX during application.
