    Well, the 4R is rated to tow a max of 5,000lbs. That trailer is 4,500lbs GVW, so technically yes.

    In my opinion it's pushing it, and probably wouldn't be very pleasant.

    I don't tow with mine, so feel free to take this with a grain of salt.

    So when looking at a camper, always look at the gvw or look at the camper unloaded vehicle weight?

    What's the tongue weight?

    The 4Runner can tow up to 5000 lb, and a 500 lb tongue weight. It will tow that, as long as the tongue weight is below 500#, but it will also probably suck. Keep in mind that the weight of your anti-sway/weight distribution hitch should be included in your tongue weight.

    If tongue weight and overall weight are ok, S4 And <65 MPH and you will be fine.

    But, I would bet that the tongue weight plus the weight of the weight distribution hitch is going to be over the 4runner's limit.
