06 4runner. Looking at replacing low beam bulbs with some of the direct replacement aftermarket LEDs. Saw some while looking for regular bulbs on Amazon.
    Anyone have experience or suggestions.

I've had good luck with Diode Dynamics bulb replacements. I think they have options for 4th Gen 4R's.

With my experience I have found drop in LED bulbs that perform like stock LEDs in 5th gen 4Runner with projector low beams.

If your 2006 have reflector low beam LED bulbs may not be a good choice. They are too bringt for a reflector housing imo. If you have projectors like 5th gen projectors I had really good beam pattern with Lasfit LA plus (they have high price options too), Hikari Titanova, GTR Ultra2, Nighlight, etc.

After reading mixes reviews about LED output, I went with no flicker HID. Couldn't be more happy.

Check out the Boslla B4 Bullet. Cool features (sounds weird, but true) and I’ve had them in my ‘07 for ~2 years.

Its very straight forward. Just make sure you use the right bulbs. The previous owner had a different headlight and I got confused but found out there was an unneeded wire harness. Remove it and then I was able to clip it on.
