IMG_6741.jpg A co-worker with a 2011 4Runner asked for the KDMAX Pro-10.0. Once he drove on it a few days he was astounded how it accelerates on the highway and the smoother transmission.
Let’s get on this 4Runner owners. This is the best mod you can add. Relatively inexpensive and it improves your vehicle. A no fuss-no muss ‘plug & play’ mod and the owner doesn’t need to lift a finger!
    I cover PA/DE/NJ & northeast MD.
Contact me and I’ll have your 4Runner literally ‘up to speed’ in no time.

I forgot to post this here. I will be in Seattle this afternoon / early evening. If you want to get KDMax on your 4runner and you are in the Seattle area, now is your chance. Seattle 7-6-23.png

@elnip - thanks again for the throttle update weekend before last. Normal is much more appropriate for the way I drive. I do love the responsiveness of the Sport for some things, but it made me a bit nervous at times. The 4Runner is running like a champ. How did the Tacoma owner like his tune?

Fantastic to hear! The Taco owner is beyond satisfied, the big test as you know is going up La Bajada to Santa Fe. We hung out for over an hour after tuning him just having a great conversation. It was his dream truck and is now super happy with its performance.
Also, always good the hang out with you too!

Last night I got back from my trip to Waco, Tx. I live in Georgetown Ky.. We also took a day trip to Boerne, Tx. from Waco while we were there. I put a total of 2,590 miles on the truck total.
First off, this tune. Is. AMAZING!!!!!! The truck ran like a champ, and it was really happy with the gas mileage I got. Power was there when I needed it, and it since I have the throttle set to Sport, the response to my foot was also amazing. Didn't do a lot of downshifting anywhere but hilly ass Kentucky and Tennessee.
I didn't get to put a trip on the truck with the 9.0, so I only have stock to go by, and the most I got out of it stock was 16.52 mpg.
On this trip, the best I got was 19.15 mpg. I use the Fuelly app by the way. I also have an Anderson Engineering manifold spacer on the truck.
    Very happy with this tune!!

That is awesome results! I’m familiar with the drive you were on. Fantastic!! I am about to install an Anderson myself, roughly what was your RPM average @70 and 80 mph?

@80 mph it was running at around 2200 RPM if I remember right.

That’s great news. I’m guessing that 20-23 year models the the KDMAX Pro 10 and the spacer could push the 20 MPG mark with 33’s. My average on that run you made was 18.3 at 75MPH @2300 RPM with the 10.0 sport tune. Thank You for the information.

When/where did you get the spacer?
Shawn sent me one on February then asked me to not install ot as it needed to be redone and I never heard back?

Had a tune done last week. Ditto on the 19.1 mpg with 275's, (that's an increase of 1.6 mpg hwy) the tranny is happier. RPM's are 2300-ish @80 mph.

I can't remember when I ordered it, but he told me the same thing. Then he redid it and sent it to me.

Joe brought me has 2023 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro this afternoon for a KDMax tune. He's owned the truck for 6 months and only put 2000 miles on it because the poor throttle response and weak acceleration made it a disappointment to drive. The tune corrected this for him! After trying all 3 of our available throttle options, he settled on the Sport. Thank you sir for trusting me to improve your ownership experience with the KDMax Pro v10.0 tune! If you need anything in the future, please reach out!

If you're in the upstate NY region and you're ready to get tuned, reach out!

Our tunes are tested on the road by monitoring the throttle, shifting, air fuel, timing, knock values and most importantly Drivability improvements. Having the highest Dyno HP is not our goal. We want people to enjoy driving their vehicles and maintain it's reliability.

While dyno use provides metrics at wide open throttle in a single gear to show some all out peak numbers it's not the metric these tunes have as a primary goal. For some reason you still don't get that after all this time. But hey, I do not think any of us in the KDMAX Pro group are trying to impress you. No, we will save all that effort and energy to provide great tune results for those of us that drive on/off the road with all the builds of their trucks they need. It's a let down to you, I know, but you will get by. Meanwhile we would rather support every one else that is an actual customer. Thanks for allowing us to post in our own group thread that competition only thinks dyno numbers matter to. It's certainly a market advantage for us to think about the real world the rest of us live in.

Thanks for the bump. Thanks for all of your concern.

I never said that we did not Dyno our tunes. We have done multiple Dynos on multiple vehicles. We use the data in building our tunes. We don't use the data to compare to or bash our competitors. Dyno data can be used for and against you. We choose to stay positive and professional when it comes to our tunes. We don't post on our competitor's threads or bash them. We wish them success and welcome the competition.

KDMAX Pro Tunes, Real Tunes for real people!

Thanks you to all the satisfied T4R, Tacoma’s, Tundra’s, FJ’s and now even Land Cruiser for your continued support!

Every time I hear the distractors talk max Dyno #’s it’s easy to be brother…but then I go take a drive and realize I chose the right tuning professionals to do business with.

Really great tunes with great real world results!

But kdmax has dynod tacomas and posted the results... so why not 4runners?

Its one thing to say dyno results aren't important on here . but then use it as a selling point on a tacoma forum... im all sorts of confused

@PapaRee I am so thankful to be part of the KDMAX Pro group where we work to provide what owners really need and not what competition thinks is important. It's crazy how off focused some can be on the real goals you've set especially when you are clear time and time again. After tomorrows event in Virginia Beach that many more owners get the true benefits of a valued tune. Funny part of all this is the most popular comment I hear from owners is they don't want it to be a race truck nor expect it to be.....that's what forced-induction and dyno tunes are for. I appreciate your focus on knowing the market we want to be in and delivering!

I’ll make one more comment on this current OTT bashing KDMAX thread (call it what it is, and like usual OTT “professionals” try and change the narrative).

We have thousands literally thousands of satisfied KDMAX customers covering all platforms (Tacoma’s, T4R’s, Tundra’s, FJ’s and even Land Cruisers). And you’re gonna say their all wrong and chose the wrong tune, why?

Because you think so? Each and every person on the KDMAX tune could’ve chose different, but didn’t.

You’ll say, as you have, “they were “misinformed”. Based on what? Your opinion?

I’ll give you that, your an arrogant brunch.

Kreg and Dave the founder are again honorable men and have always encouraged our group of tuners to stay positive, polite, and professional. They have used Dyno’s multiple times as you know. And it’s never enough to satisfy you guys. But the thing is KDMAX is not about satisfying the competition but the Customer!

You say our Dyno’s are “faulty”, “under” or “over” inflated. They’re not accurate you say? Again based on your own bias opinions.

What makes your Dyno’s any more accurate then the ones we get from Dyno shops? Nothing but you saying so? Hogwash!

Please don’t insult the people who choose KDMAX intelligences. Their able to see through your agenda.

And again different strategy and purpose in the development of KDMAX tunes.

And your gong to say my “Butt Dyno” and all these others customers can’t tell there been a difference in performance, acceleration, shifting, and overall drivability after the tune? Again nothing but sour grapes and bad attitudes. I say, they know the difference.
