I am happy to become a member of the 4Runner Club! I had been contemplating for over a year about buying a new 4Runner and I am glad I waited! I love driving my new 2025 TRD Sport Pro and all the features with it! The 2.4L engine runs great and the 8 speed transmission is very smooth. I had talked to many different owners and all reported loving their 4Runners before making my decision. My next step was to talk to several mechanics and they all reported these were well built vehicles. Now it's time to do my homework and learn all the electronics.

Looking good! Great color. And you probably already know that body colored fenders add another 5hp per wheel so good choice there.

Please trade in your 5th gen for 6th gen

The market is struggling and it's all your faults

Congrats! That's amazing you knew so many different individual long time 6th gen owners with such abundant amount of experience with their 6th gens, and have access to several mechanics who knew the 6th gen so well, as to give you such in depth feedback, especially considering the 2025 model year is essentially a completely different vehicle than the now obsolete 5th gen, the only thing they share being the brand and model names.

now now, let's go easy on the guy. It's not often a first time 4runner buyer is this informed on their purchase. I have only seen one 2025 in my area so I don't have access that kind of data points.

How do several mechanics know that these are well built vehicles? Do they own them? Have they had several 6th gen 4runners come through their shop? This post seems very odd.

Probably speaking about 4Runner's in general, I know there's a lot of nitty-gritty technical details and Toyota decisions we can get into but I think it's best to keep it at being happy for OP as long as it didn't cost their first-born plus interest. :D

This isnt the first. If you are a daily subscriber you would notice quite a few like this. Most are hidden in other threads, this one has its own thread as the OP. I'm sure these are just excited new owners who just purchased a 6th gen and decided to let Chat GPT write their post for them...... Or its Toyota using bots to try to steer consensus and generate sales.
