So I've got to poll the audience. Why in the hell do I get so many "Is it available?" messages when I sell on Facebook, Offerup, ect.? What's the angle? Are they trying to scam me? Why waste my time?

Typically no matter my response they ghost. Additionally, I get the weirdest profiles asking Is it available. Today I had what appeared to be a middle aged Indian woman with a bunch of kids asking to buy my 1000cc Ninja. I highly doubt she's interested so why ask??

If you're a "is it available" kinda person, clue me in, because so far I'm just seeing it as tire kickers who never had any intention of buying.

Because a ton of people don't take down listings after they sell whatever it is. Some people ask just to know if they can still consider it an option.

I guess maybe the part I don't get is every single person asks and no matter the response they never reply. I even got funny with some of them and would say yes with a huge discount off what im asking and still no reply.

Some are scammers fishing for more information, but they're probably scamming so many people they can't keep up with all the responses.

    Some are flakes.

    Some are trolls.

    Some are tire kickers.

    Some just want a deal.

Some just want a deal so they can re-sell.

Some want it but can't commit to buying anything.

And so on and so forth.

I am most interested in your ninja fighter motorcycle vehicle.

Unfortunately I am deployed in Afghanistan as a soldier for the USA Marin Crops.

I can send an agent to your house to investigate the Motorrad and issue you a check for the asking price +20% as an added bonus.

I will just need your bank account and routing number for easy process of fees.

Whenever I'm shopping on the FB marketplace using my phone, and I try to contact the seller, it auto fills the message "is this available?" as a suggested message to send. Of course I delete it and replace it with my own message, but perhaps others don't and this is why you get to many messages saying the same thing.
