I'm 64 and been a gear head my whole life...still am...I switched from frame up restoration on a 1964 Chelvelle, 1967 Chevelle and a 1970 Nova...and sold them all years ago before I found a 1985 Toyota 4 Runner DLX, 22 REC, 5 speed in Oregon and had it shipped to St. Louis, MO. Went through everything and replaced all axial bearings, seals transmission / transfer case seals, differential seals, brakes, rotors, all U joints, front axial and bearings and races, all hoses...it's like new and runs Great!!!
I just put 31 x 10.50's BF Goodrich and it really looks Great!!!
I'm looking forward to reading or hearing from other members on what they have and what they have done on these incredible vehicles...much different than muscle cars but equally Awesome!!!

I will post pictures first chance I get...I'm much better at mechanical than anything digital but I'll get my kids and IT wife to help if need be to negotiate with downloading pictures. Have a Great Labor Day Weekend 4scooter19!!!

    Welcome...

How many miles on the 1985 runner?

V6 2WD 145,000 miles SR5 2005 - bought new - rust free (except brace bar under radiator) - Nassau, Bahamas (short trips lots of starts). 4 starters, 1 AC Denso compressor, AC blower motor - never a check engine oil light.

4runner was imported by Toyota dealer from Japan.

    78 Zepher
    1995 GM Jimmy (new)
    1993 Cadillac Northstar V8
1974 Corvette (sold it for what I paid for it after 20,000 miles)
1973 Camaro (from savings from brief stint in USAF)
    1988 Olds
    1996 Daihatsu (new)
