Have a set of brand new Icon Overland Series 3" Dual Rate Coil Springs that I bought completely new from someone that sold their 4runner. They have never been installed on any vehicle and are brand new. I bought them thinking I could use them but of course I didn't do enough research and found out they won't work with my extended travel setup. They go for $360 new and I'm asking $250 shipped or $200 local pickup in the Minneapolis area. Let me know if you have any questions.

Picked up the Dobinsons IMS extended travel. I’m not 100% sure that they won’t work but I’d rather be 100% sure that they will work so I decided to order the recommended long travel springs from Dobinsons. I’d rather not have any issues with either of the springs being loose or falling out at full flex.

I have the 3 inch overland springs with ADS extended travel shocks.

I have to disconnect the trailing arms to get the springs out. They dont like coming out.

You gotta start worrying about brake lines. The stock sway bar links keep it from drooping enough to need extended lines. If you had extended or adjustable end links you would probably need new brake lines.

Even with the sway bar and shock unbolted I have to unbolted trailing arms to get those springs out.

Dang I’m glad you’re sharing your experience. Think I’m going to throw the icons in and cancel my order from dobinsons. Worst case scenario I can place another order. Thanks for sharing!

    Very welcome.

So around town those overlands are great since they are softer at first. And thats most of your driving. More comfortable than other brands would be for standard driving.

But when I get loaded up for a trip down dirt roads it drops an inch. So as long as thats ok.
