My daughter's 1997 SR5, 3.4 eng. 192,000 miles, won't start after short trips when hot, and once running will rev. up on it's own.
Read in the forum that someone changed a coolant sensor which was sending bad temps to the computer, problem solved.
I'm wanting to try that, does anyone have a diagram of where it is on the engine?
I've replaced, injectors OEM, Plugs OEM, wires OEM, both O2 sensors OEM, air filter, fuel filter, cleaned MAS.
She won't drive it for fear of being stranded.

So on a no start like this, you should be looking at the cam and crank sensors. The ECM wants to see that they are giving a proper signal that the engine is in time and won't start the car until otherwise.

What does this mean? Did you scan for codes?

Scaned for codes, and no engine lights.

The reving on its own sounds like a throttle position sensor. If it were me I would change that and also clean the throttle body.
