Howdy, although I am a newbie to the forum, I have been a 1st gen 4Runner owner for several years. I am thinking about selling the two 1st gen 4Runners I have, an 1986 (white) and a 1987 (Black). Both are 22RE - with 5-speed manual transmissions. I will post pics of them soon.
My only reason for selling would be to purchase an FJ60 or FJ40.

So the white one is an '86 22RE 5-speed manual with gray interior and about 185k miles. I have replaced most of the wear items with OEM Toyota parts purchased from 22REPerformance in California. It has a rear bench seat and everything works, including the rear window.it is in great condition cosmetically and mechanically. The only rust is around the windshield and inside the door jam of the driver side door.

I will create a picture site for the white one similar to this one I just created for the black one.

So here are some pictures of the white 1986 4Runner. I have only seen 3 others in as good condition. All non-Toyota OEM parts have been replaced with the correct Toyota/Aisin/Denso versions.

    Go here: https://spark.adobe.com/page/XDzOAuhh33TYW/

Let me know if you want any specific pictures of anything on either the black 1987 or this white 1986. Also, I just purchased a new set of Yokohama tires for the white one.

if I do sell it I would like for the next person to really bring it back to a close-to-factory-new condition. The parts are still out there.

Let me know what you think about it. I will entertain offers for both. I have had several offers just from driving it around.

Also, it is ready for any road trip. I recently drove it from Houston to Chico, California (before the fires) to visit 22REPerformance and then from Houston to Minneapolis earlier this year. No problems whatsoever.
