    When it comes to waiting for a vendor to respond to an email?

    Is a week long enough?

    It's a simple request for authorization to return an item that does not work as advertised. Since they NEVER answer the phone....email is all I've got.

    It's not about the money. I'd give it to the first person that needed it, but I'm not going to toss a hundred dollar item in a cabinet and forget about it. Ya know?

    I'm a patient man........but don't mistake said patience as weakness.

    Man I thought I would get with the times and switch to LED’s in the Z28 as a start. Tried to install in the rear view mirror,,,,, too small they fell right out. Pried the contacts together with pliers. Got them to work, closed and open the door and they didn’t. Too small....It was only ten bucks and it came with a tool. I knew it was too good to be true....

    I'm not very patient... That said, I am getting ready act like a volcanic eruption with Federal Express! I have waited a month. In between, phone calls with the tracking number... Phone calls with a claim number... (Oh - it's lost...) But what are you doing about it??? This week, I emailed the CEO. And I will continue to email. Next is the letter writing campaign. Then - I get loud on social media.

    So, you could be the guy? 30 some years ago UPS delivered a package that was not mine. I returned it. A few days later, same package shows up on my doorstep....again I return it. This continued until the 5th time they delivered it to me. Enough, I opened it and inside was a pewter 1937 Cord. Yup, I still have it.

    I'm an honest man..........but damn!

    Sometimes our emails go to the junk/spam folder. I'll resend it right now.

    Only thing is - as I read this, it implies it's my fault and their previous email must have gone to my junk/spam folder......not the case. I assure you.

    Anywho.....got the RMA today and that's all I wanted.

    @Moon Landing, just sharing my experience with waiting..

    My biggest wait time was for my ELKA suspension. I ordered on Aug 2020 from Toytec and the expected time to get it was 8-10weeks. As of Oct30,2020 Toytec didn't have an expected date from ELKA so I contacted ELKA. They were unable to give me any expected date. After about 3 email conversation the only info ELKA was able to give me was;

    After a long wait I got the ELKA's on Jan 2021. I was not happy ELKA didn't provide any information to me what's the status of my order. Toytec kept trying to get my order fast. This is a message I got from Toytec in Dec2020;

    Toytec was really helpful as the installer trying their best to get the items for the customer. I really wish we can get better information from the product companies, especially for the big $$$ items. With the bad experience with ELKA I would look for some other brand for my Limited.

    Moon Landing, glad it all worked out in the end. I am not very patient, however, I believe in being reasonable. In your situation, I think that 3 days is about reasonable to receive an email back from a vendor. I think especially at this current time, where everyone is using COVID as an excuse for their bad behaviours. I mean, we have Customer Service Departments that close, and go to "chat only." (hey eBay, I'm talking about YOU).

    In the case where I purchase something and there is no response/or reasonable response, your meme is correct. I won't fight or put up a big stink. I'll reach out to the vendor one more time. Should I still not receive a reasonable solution, I just call my credit card company with a smile and let the vendor duke it out with them. 99% of the time, the dispute will be in my favour. (Then the product goes in the trash, lol)
