Been using it since COVID. Switched to Telegram few years ago.

 

New a lady at work who said telegram was good. She said the selling point was how well you could hid conversations on your phone. Don't think the husband knew that.

 

I'm banned from stupid Telegram. I've never even USED the platform before! I'm assuming someone else had my phone # before me, and they got banned. I can't sign up at all. I emailed support well over 30 times and not once did I get a reply. I've given up and went to Signal

Yes! They both are privacy focussed compared to Whatsapp. It has secret chat options and self destructing chats as well among other things.

 

I do use Signal but I'm not sure of the draw of such a group would be over what we got going on currently here.

 

Yeah I'm thinking that too. Whatever. At least this is a different topic to talk about other than oil changes lol.

 

Is it like Discord? What would we all chat about?Also I feel like it would turn into a live version of “What oil, tire, lift, intake, ect. should I use” chat.

 

Yes like discord but different in implementation and target audience.
But honestly, no point having one for the whole forum.

 

What are the chances of receiving some intel from ongoing current events to off road in deep mountains across the seas?

 

Yes i have it. Zero intrest in being added to another group. The little blue indicator light on the phone triggers PTSD in me for some reason. Those in uniform will understand.

 

It wouldn't be a bad idea to put together a Signal group for your neighbors if applicable though considering events nationwide and concentrated in Minneapolis.

Maybe one for emergencies, one people can mute for banter.

Of course, assuming your neighbors won't applaud your removal or otherwise behave anti-socially.

I never got into FB, Insta, Snapchat, etc… so relatively clueless to these unfortunately. These forums are as close as I get.
