    I don't think there's a set number.

They typically start making them around August. Dealers are allocated a certain number based off their prior year sales.

However, you can still go to your dealer and order one until sometime in June, where they stop taking orders because they are re-tooling for the next model year.

Does Toyota publish how many are built once the new model year comes out? I am just curious as I have one coming in soon.

I personally haven't found that number published anywhere.

Doesn't mean it doesn't exist though. It might be somewhere.

I wish you luck in your quest.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

TRDPRO is just like TRD Offroad without KDSS. They just ship them to USA as is and the add-ons (shocks, wheels, tires, etc..) are bolted here in the USA.

So it would be same as any other trim production. Please please correct me if I'm wrong.

That's correct. From a factory standpoint, they are the same.

They get turned into a PRO at port.

However, Toyota still knows how many are sold as PRO's. Just not sure if they publish that info.

I think it's more than that tbh.

Unless all the hvac is installed at the port (which I doubt). That was one of the main factors I went with a Pro over ORP. ORP does not have dual zone climate control while the Pro does.

Also different exhaust as I doubt that is port installed as well. Could be wrong but I'm sure there is more.

Believe only suspension, tires/rims and roofrack are installed at port for Pro.

Ah, sorry. Now that I think about it, you're right.

They get a PRO VIN from the factory, exclusive color, ect....

Email all the dealers within few states. I did that and found one incoming that was not sold. Many are still incoming and dealers never post online. Once they post online its already sold often or they want markup. Here is proof, I picked mine up today for msrp.

Your right. I bought a white pro about 60 days ago because I couldn't find a lunar. Two weeks later while checking a few dealers online , a dealer 45 minutes from me showed one incoming. I sent a email request , they called me the next day and said it was available. They were just sent notice of the allocation the day before. Bought it at msrp and sold the white one to "givemethevin.com" for what the lunar cost me.

Yea I emailed tons of dealers and it worked out for me. Found a dealer who was willing to play with incoming allocation, also gave me good trade in on a JL rubicon. Those who complain they can not find one. Need to put in the effort and reach further out of state.

So the Pro is a cosmetic upgrade with fox shock thrown in but a KDSS delete? ORP is so much better value for the sticker.

I believe the pro has zoned climate controls as well. Trd orp doesn't have that.

Dont know what to tell you, must be a Canadian market thing. Up here all TDR ORs are ORPs w/KDSS and sunroof. There are basically no options, you get everything.

On Toyota.com there used to be a page that said about 1,000 TRD Pro's per year were produced in the three colors for that year.

This page was around back in 2015/16/17 but I haven't seen it in years and I highly doubt they're still keeping production numbers that low.
