How long at the port?

Dealer told me it's coming from Seattle and I'm in Ohio. Has to hit a railhead before a transport truck. Probably will mean a 4th batch of alerts for me. But that's a good possible reference. Thank you! this whole waiting game sucks and it's only been a little more than a week for me!

 

Campaign status…. Ie Quality control…parts ordered…recall status

Gulf states (Arkansas, Texas, mississippi, Oklahoma, Louisiana) did a complete computer system overhaul in June…everything was at a standstill for 10 days…this created a tremendous log jam with vehicles at the vpc in Houston

so a vehicle built july 1 at the vpc july 15 will show up at the dealership before one built in June

 

I tried this but had no luck...ugh. My salesman is so eccentric. I've been waiting almost 8 months for it to come in and I get a call that it was estimated to arrive in August, this was on 6/21...mind you I'm selling my vehicle on saturday to an outside dealership so I will be technically carless lol Anyone able to get the link above to work and help me out lol I'd really appreciate it! I can give you the VIN

 

The whole tracking process has been a total mess at my local dealership…even with Toyotas new vehicle tracking system supposedly in place. I finally got some answers after the inventory manager contacted a Toyota rep. from the district.

 

Have you already paid for/financed your 4runner? Is that how you are seeing the vehicle alerts? I'm waiting on mine, according to my dealer it arrived at port on 7/18. He doesn't want to bring me in to finance it until it has hit F status...whatever that means. We are going through our credit union so it doesn't matter whether we come in there or not. But I'm just wondering how you are getting alerts

 

this process of buying a vehicle before it is here…was new to every one…earlier in the year we would contract once the vehicle was allocated then redo once customer delivery…we were told this was a no-no.. so now we contact only when vehicle is here…. now
I work for a dealer…they let me contract.. so i could lock in a good rate (they have gone up considerably)
I have the app …i got alerts two weeks ago…nothing since…my trd pro is just sitting around

 

Oh ok, that makes sense. He told me once it hit freight status...so I guess a couple weeks before it gets there that we could go ahead and finance it. Which I will do because I don't want to wait until the car arrives there because knowing my luck they will sell it out from under me. I think mine is only 1 of 2 pro's that the dealership has gotten for the 2022 model 4runners. They are a large dealership but they barely get anything in. It took 6 months for it to get allocated. I'm just going to be carless lol so I'd prefer it be here sooner than later if ya know what I mean

 

I hope this is true. Mine just popped up on the dealers website yesterday. But I'm not sure how that would be any day because he told me it just got to port on 7/18--but then again, not 100% sure he knew what he was looking at. He sounded confused lol But he's a good dude, I really like him. So hopefully it will be here next week, that would be amazing

 

You're lucky, it's been almost 8 months for me. I just got notification that it had been allocated at the end of June. He said it hit port on 7/18...so I'm getting a little antsy, it's so close but still not haha! Hopefully yours will arrive soon

 

Hang in there everyone. It will be worth it in the end. I have had mine for about 40 days now and have about 650 miles on it and we are off to Utah and Nevada tonight via Idaho. I can't wait to post some photo of the 4Runner out in the wild..LOL

if so that’s a one off situation…

in gulf states toyota vehicles are listed on dealer websites once it’s ready to be transported out on the transport

if we listed vehicles on website once they were allocated…. we would have hundreds

we have 70 currently (all are sold off course)

edit …or maybe they wanted it listed because it was a pro??…(marketing purposes)

 

mine was allocated back at the end of June. It didn’t show up until 7/19 on the website. Which is after it arrived at port. I’m in VA so not sure how they do that.

Here’s their current listings. Looks like there are 3 other 4Rs listed. All with VINs and 2 that actually have a window sticker for viewing. My Black TRD Pro doesnt have a window sticker. I’m guessing it’s just for marketing but when I put money down it was already in their allocation (according to the salesman), arrived in port on July 6, and they were just waiting to take delivery. So I really just don’t know.

 

That's weird they don't have the window sticker, mine had the window sticker on it as soon as it showed up on the website. Do you have a lot of port installed options? Only thing I have is the black emblems. I don't know how long mine has been at port but my salesman told me it would be here in two weeks.

 

It’s has a few. Black emblems, some trail running boards, floor mats, roof rack, dash cam, console safe, door edge guards, assistance kit. None of whixh I picked. Just was on the color and trim I wanted.

 

Did they give you an estimate on when it would be here? Just out of curiosity? I'm only asking bc I just sold my other vehicle and am having to use someone else's until it arrives...which I hate because it's a car and I feel like I'm laying on the ground lol

 

My salesman didn’t. But another thought it would be close to September. Major bummer. I don’t do well with patience. The excitement is hard to deal with!

 

Oh gosh. Now that's making me worry...eek. Because yours has been at port a lot longer than mine. They got the ETA which said August just not what part of August...oh well maybe it will arrive on my birthday lol 8/11. who knows. Well I hope it is sooner than later for you!

I'm a little late to this thread, but I'm trying to figure out what distribution area Virginia is in. Will mine go to a port on the west coast or the east coast? I'm trying to figure out because I finally (after 7 months) got my 4runner allocated and I can't figure out anything with where it is. I know my salesman said it had gotten to port last week. But what port lol Ahhh....I'm so impatient it's awful.

 

Does anyone have access to the toyota site Dealer Daily that could lend a hand?

 

Do you know what port 4runners allocated from Virginia go to? I can't ever get my salesman to answer me back (he just isn't a techy person, he's been great so far)

 

Mine is in F status and I’ve not gotten any alerts at all. Not sure when it hit F status bc last week it was still in A.
