Just picked up ‘10 SR5 last night, traded in my ‘17 Silverado LTZ Crew to gain some financial freedom, looking forward to achieving 300-400K. Is there many Gen5 out there yet at 400K? If so, anything special to look for during 200-300?

I’m at 222k and there’s absolutely no rattles, squeaks or unusual sounds. Motor and trans seem strong and still fresh, however I don’t read too much about transmissions, guess this is my biggest concern. I do have Over 30 service records.

Factory radio will be the first to go, no looking back after having Apple Play. A lift and wheels and tires will be at some point and maybe swapping out cloth for a leather kit.

Welcome from Colorado... I don't know about the financial freedom part.... the mod bug is pricey

 

I'm not anywhere near that mileage yet but as another Chevy convert, welcome. I think that you'll find that the 4Runner will be easier to own in the long run...you'll spend a lot less on repairs.

Are you counting oil change etc. as service record?

 

Far as transmission go change, change, change, the fluid... Heats the biggest killer of any transmission about all you can do it keep it changed and drive it like a human being. Those two things "should" net you hundreds of thousands of miles.
