I have a 2018 4Runner sr5. There are about 28,000 miles on it. I been having this weird rattle/squeaking sound coming from the front end when going over speed bumps or hitting bumps in the road. It doesn’t do it over every little bump but it’s enough to annoy me. I was wondering if this looks like the upper ball joints are leaking or broken? It’s like this on both sides only on the upper ball joints. if so what would cause it to get like this so fast. I have a 3in lift on it.

That looks normal for a 3” lift. There is grease in the boot. Being lifted makes the upper control arm at a steeper angle which is further towards its max travel which will squeeze out some grease.

Hard to tell what the noise is going to be from the picture.

Is it a spacer lift? Can just be a loose bolt from install.

Yeah it’s a spacer lift. I had it installed about a year ago
