    Good morning fellow 4Runners,

I recently had a one night stand with Front Range Off-road Fabrication. I purchased their upper / lower rear control arm set and after the intimacy ended they slipped out in the middle of the night and I have not heard from them. I called & emailed multiple times but there is no response. I feel hurt, used and violated. Aside from my rejection and sobbing, I have a couple of questions because the parts came with no installation instructions.

    1. When installing the lower control arms do I grease the ends of the heim joint and the bolt that goes through them or keep it metal to metal?[IMG]
    2. What is the best lubrication to use on the polyurethane bushings?

Thank You for your help, it is much appreciated.

    1. The heim joints have a Teflon liner. Adding grease will shorten their already short life. Spray a Teflon lube on them every four weeks or so to minimize squeaking.

    2. Any grease will do. I use NLGI grade 2 lithium for commonality with driveshaft U-joints and ball joints.

    3. I don't see offset geometry in the upper link. Make sure the link doesn't hit the fuel tank at full axle droop :)

These affairs are usually costly and it seems you didn't use enough KY here:notsure:. I would imagine you need some sort of minor lubrication here, like a touch of a spray (silicone base maybe).

Are these in the rear connected to the swaybar?

    Thanks for the advice,

They are in the rear but not connected to the sway bar. I figured since I was there I would do the rear end sway bar links that way everything is sound and in good working order.
