    Quick post to say hello!

I'm not a 4Runner owner yet, but I plan to purchase a 2021 model next year, most likely between late spring and early fall (possibly a special order). I'm upgrading to a truck/SUV from a Subaru Outback as I need a better tow vehicle for a small travel trailer. I was debating between the Tacoma, Tundra, and 4Runner, and test drove all three last week. While I realize the 4Runner isn't typically considered a great tow vehicle, it would by far be my first choice for all-around use, off-road fun, and daily driving, with the Tundra being the obvious choice specifically for towing purposes (but less ideal for daily driving). I really didn't care for the Tacoma much at all. I'm in my mid 50's now, and would plan to keep the 4Runner for 6-8 years, then possibly upgrade to a Tundra and bigger travel trailer once retired.

Anyway, I look forward to reading through these forums and learning more about Toyota and the 4Runner. I have several close friends that own 4Runner's and Tacoma's ... and they all love their Toyota's!

Welcome! We have a 2012 Tacoma and a 2019 4Runner. Both great vehicles. 4Runner rides better and more comfortable but can't not have a truck for work.

I live in Iowa now, but originally from Wisconsin. Grew up in the Milwaukee area (Menomonee Falls), and spent about 10 yrs in the Madison area (Sun Prairie)
