    Hello,

I'm here to introduce myself. I'm finally getting a 4runner but it isn't here yet (hopefully arrives in May.)

In February, I was driving my Toyota Matrix when the latch from the hood decided to fail, full speed on the highway. I was able to recover safely and get to the side of the road but the windshield and a lot of the top body structure was totaled. The insurance company wrote it off since the repairs were more costly than the value of the vehicle.

I was having such a terrible time in life at the time I thought to myself, screw it. I want a 4runner, I've always wanted one and I want one in Army Green. I could afford an TRD Offroad but I thought to myself, if I get a different color, I would just be thinking about, "her," (Green) the entire time, so I forfeited the ATRAC modes and rear diff for the color (I can install a rear diff later). I don't think I'm crazy because I'm in love and don't care who knows it. I've never felt that way about a color before and I'm a colorist in the film industry.

Anyway, I'd like to thank the forum already, there's so much information I've obtained through everyone's experience and enthusiasm. It gives me a lot to look forward to while I wait for my dream machine to come in the mail from Japan.

    Feel free to ask
    Welcome.

ATRAC comes standard on all 4x4 4runners. Did you mean mean crawl control?

Yes sir, the Crawl Control and multi-terrain select (Enhanced ATRAC). I guess if I go offroad, I'll just have to learn to be a good driver, offroad.

Well, i would've given it away for the Trail, but for the cloth seats, not the color. The Trail showed up 1 month after I got mine.
    Welcome.

Thank you for the Welcome, I had the same sort of style cloth seats in the Matrix I was driving and didn't mind it at all. Some of my family members wanted me to get the sof-tex seats but I wasn't sold on them, I don't really care too much about heated seats either. Sucks about the timing for your 4runner, I hope you still love it. I'll trade you seats :)

cant trade now, the woman took it over 100%; i am only the installer. She wanted a roofrack, got one, better tires, got them, better lights, H9s, then led fogs, tinted windows, better lights inside...
she now wants a roof ladder, but i cant get one in Canada now :( (she wants the gobi)
i participate with the tools, wallet and the patience that my day will come soon, soon....cybersoon....hint hint

As soon as I got it back, the mods started! It was fun getting it into the zone I had dreamed of for 3 months.
