Hello from North GA

Hi everyone,
I've been lurking for a while now, but decided to join. In March, my wife and I sold our Rav4 Hybrid and purchased our 2003 V8 Limited 4WD. It's had a hard life, and over 200K miles, but I've always loved old Toyotas and V8s, so I was excited to get some hands-on experience fixing it up.

So far, I've done the following:

• Replaced Valve cover gaskets
• Replaced spark plugs
• Replaced timing belt/water pump/pulleys etc. (had a shop do this one...)
• Replaced rear brake pads/rotors/calipers/parking brake hardware (bent originals on removal - oops).

Things I'm preparing to do:

• Replace Upper and lower control arms
• replace CV axles
• remove XREAS and replace with Bilstiens (4600 or 5100, not sure yet)
• replace fuel sending unit

I have a few nagging issues I want to figure out, so I'll be posting another thread with that stuff. Happy to be here!

That’s a clean looking 03 V8 you got there. Keep going on the replacement parts that need replacing, then go off-roading with confidence. Welcome aboard, Josh.
