    1st Question.
I had different tires and rims put on my vehicle a few days ago. I had them install aftermarket tpms made by Schroeder. (I wanted to keep the original rims and tpms intact) After this was done my tire pressure warning light came on a day later. I called the shop and they said to double check the air which I did. It still remained on. I brought the vehicle back to the shop yesterday and after 2 hours they seem to be having troubles getting the sensors programmed. (Side note Schroeder is what they said I should buy) Should I go with factory tpms? They are rather spendy and I would prefer to add other types of accessories instead of costly Toyota sensors.
    Thanks for your input

Well I have one non Toyota TPMS sensor on my 4 because Discount Tire broke one when they installed my tires. I am not sure what brand it is but it is not Toyota. Have never had an issue. So not sure why they can't get the Schroeders to work? Hopefully they get it fixed for you

Did they try swapping them out with others they had on hand during that 2 hours? Because if after 30 minutes they just didn't grab some others off the shelf to see if those worked then they really like wasting time and hate troubleshooting.

Hi @Imnrgman, welcome. I'm from Farmington. If you're interested, I have a set of professionally powder-coated TRD Offroad rims that I haven't put on and would like to sell at cost.

They're size 17s, and I don't have tpms sensors which are about $30-/piece online.

If you're interested, I can PM you my cell and we can arrange for me to show you the rims. I am open to selling either the black rims, or the original silver trail/off-road rims that are on my 4R.

Not too long ago I saw a thread here about difficulty programming aftermarket Sensors. Can't seem to find the thread now.

That’s an actual photo ^ of one of the rims. They all look like that. I wasn’t actively selling but if a local guy wants to look at the set in person, I’d take the rims out of their individual boxes.

Anyone know if the powder coat is more durable than the OEM painted finish?

O yes as strong or stronger. I powdercoat in my detached garage. It’s baked on polyurethane and very hard to chip....

I don’t know the code. Sorry. But it’s satin.

Third visit to the dealer to get the tpm set.
They cant seem to get it working. I will have to trurn and the plan is to take the rubber off of the tire and then try to reset them.
    Pain in the arse!!!
