Hi! I ordered some cheap aftermarket housing headlights black ones that I absolutely loved, but they would not fit so that was a waste of money. Does anyone have any advice? That’s great other than I see sealing them is a good thing to do. I don’t want to get stuck with the ones that don’t fit anymore mine are fourth generation 07. 4 Runner special edition any advice would be so appreciated. I feel so lost when I get on here and start researching thanks guys

I installed Dorman housings on my ‘07 in May, and they were surprisingly good. No water leaks, the beam alignment was perfect out of the box. Bought at AutoZone with a discount code for around $160 each.

Haha I love your username! Fox is my nickname. I also went through some headlight casing drama, it really does seem like you get what you pay for in that world, but I may have been unlucky. I wanted some that stand out so now I have these, they’re pretty neat, a little ridiculous haha. The picture shows the running lights. Functionally they have been great. Alignment was perfect immediately. I got mine from KuerLED they had a lot of really cool ones.

What do you mean they didn't fit?

4th gens have two different types of OEM headlights, the 2004-2005 and then the 2006-2009. Maybe you ordered the wrong year?

Personally, i like the look of a fresh clean set of new OEM headlights... which is what i have on mine. The 4th gens headlights are so big i don't think any of the aftermarket ones look that great. The 5th gens, like posted above, have a better looking aftermarket selection IMO.
