Has anyone ever bought from Runnin4tacos.com?

Hello everyone,

I ordered SDHQ - Toyota Billet Battery Hold Down however, its been over 5 business days and they haven't even shipped the product. They also won't reply to any of the emails I have sent to either of their support emails. I am little bit confused as to why they cannot reply to my email. Has anyone else had bad experiences with this company?

 

I got the little molle panel mounts from them. That’s about it

 

yeah I ended up cancelling the order and getting it straight from SDHQ its funny when I ordered it from SDHQ earlier today it was ready for shipping pretty much minutes after placing the order LOL

 

I've been there few times in person and the service was good to me.

 

They are out of state for me so no fat chance id be able to actually go to their location.

 

Update: just installed the new battery hold down. Long story short emailed runnin4tacos yet again but this time to cancel my order which they cancelled right away for some reason. I ordered it from SDHQ and they shipped it out the same day I wish runnin4tacos would have been like this. But I'd probably still be waiting on runnin4tacos lmao!

 

I have had a bad experience with running4tacos. Twice. One order shipped after three weeks, another one within seven days. I would have been ok with it, if I had received any communication from them. No replies to my emails, no ETAs, nothing. I do not recommend them. Same with ExtremeTerrain.com.

 

thanks for sharing your experience with this company. I read all the great reviews everyone saying they are the best it is not like I ordered a whole huge set of parts or anything literally just a battery hold down kit. I also don't get why they never replied to my order status emails but I request a cancellation no prob boss.

 

There are many websites with so many parts for the 4runners. It will require some time to find them, but it is easy. Have fun with your build.

Yea but those are super loud because loud dumps under the cab bounce the sound back up off of the ground. The rear dumps aren’t as loud and in the case of RFT and Magnaflow, the mufflers aren’t loud ro begin with.

 

Gotcha, I’m still looking for my solution too. Spent the last year looking like an idiot with mine hanging down.

 

R4T works fine for me. Ordered a few things here and there from them. They mention that some of their products ship from manufacturer, and if that's the case, they won't have info on it.

Also, just me, but a week isn't bad to wait for shipping updates.

 

I tried the Pro Bro exhaust but it hung down and it was too loud inside. I want something as loud as OEM FJ but it’s not easy to find.

 

They are HORRIBLE…. Even their prices aren’t competitive. Personally… Summit Racing is awesome.

 

With r4t being just a reseller and drop shipper, I'm surprised that it didn't ship at least the next day of direct on the site was same day.

It was probably less expensive ordering direct anyways.

 

This is only partially true. They stock tons of products and they make a bunch of their own, but, as their name states, many of their in house products are for Tacomas.

 

Yeah I even asked them for an update on my order I figured they would be able to ship a SDHQ Billet battery hold down without issue. No where on the listing did it say anything about lead times or having to wait extra time for processing. I ordered it from SDHQ right after I cancelled the R4T order and it shipped the same day.

 

Which is probably true, but OP is talking about another companies specific branded part and for a T4R, so irrelevant. But i don't see battery tie downs taking up a lot of space in a warehouse, so these particular items may be bought at wholesale and stocked on site, so you may be correct.
I'm getting the point is that OP was not told anything, even when following up. When it wasn't an issue direct from manufacturer.

But it may be like booking a hotel room in Vegas. Expedia, etc has only a certain number of rooms at a certain hotel and show sold out. But if you book directly with that hotel, there's rooms available because it wasn't a part of the Expedia block of rooms.

There's too many variables at play just to ignore an order, without just a "we're currently out of stock, sorry for any inconvenience" type response.

 

Who knows though? OP shared his experience but with a broader net than I thought was necessary. Ordered one product and didn't here back in a week.

I just wouldn't blast a whole company for that.

 

When I think drop shipper I think an LLC that handles little to no products directly and plays remote middleman from their home.

R4T is a brick and motar full service shop in Denver. They do fabrication, service, repair, sales, and installs. On paper they should be awesome.

I’ve personally stopped in twice in person and they were completely fuckin’ useless with shit customer service to match.

Plus they all drive their bro’d out Toyotas around with aftermarket foglights on 24/7 and I’m sure you know the rule - 100% of the people who drives around during the day with just aftermarket foglights on end up being a douche who thinks their vehicle is the greatest thing ever. There is no exception to that rule.

 

My dad drives with his fog lights on.

He's 80 and swears it's the safest way to drive haha.

 

Driving with factory foglights on while the lights are on is fine - that’s how all modern vehicles are required to operate, frogs only work with lights on and won’t work with high beams on. That’s not on the same level of douchey as re-wiring or adding a switch and running just afterket market LEDs.

 

I didn't really like my trd pro exhaust until I put in a urd midpipe and hot damn it sounds amazing. It gives it a deeper tone.

 

Can't really remove cats here in derpifornia and these turn into rasp city without them.

 

Haha, yeah some states are picky. It did make it pretty loud when you get on it. But I enjoy the noise. I've had plenty of loud cars(rotarys to v8s) this 4.0 is music to my ears. The midpipe helped eliminate the droning and also the rotten egg smell. Sure was a pain to install though.

 

Ordered from them, never had an issue.

 

Thoughts on the URD pipe? Any performance difference? Worth the cost?
