Welcome, put HIDs in instead of LEDs. Much better for the headlights

I've read that putting LED's in lenses not designed for them doesn't usually work well. The lights won't be focused properly and you just end up blinding every oncoming driver.

I don't have personal experience with this, so I could be wrong.

Welcome! Sounds like you have a bunch of goodies lined up already. Enjoy your new ride!

Those look like a quality product with some actual research put into it. I think the cheaper LED's are probably the ones that cause problems.

I will have to look into this more. I'm all about LED's. I just read bad things a few years ago that sort of put me off.

Plus, I see a lot of dipshits with the cheapies and it's worse than being brighted. I like being able to see at night, but the output of some of them is just stupid.

That is only if you have a reflector housing.. Projector beam housings work just fine with LEDs :)

Not necessarily true. Here's a picture of a projector headlight with a halogen bulb, and a projector headlight with an LED bulb.

There are good LED's out there, apparently. Just don't try to cheap out on it.

Do yourself and everyone else a favor. Point the car at a garage door or wall at night with the lights on and take a picture before and after. Make sure that the beam cuts off like it's supposed to.

Had put good LEDs in my Runner initially, then switched to XenonDepot HIDs and I can say they definitely project better and are brighter than the LEDs.
