The top of rear hatch when you open it seems to catch a lot of debris. I lifted the weather strip that runs along the top and I found dirt stuck to gunk, which I assume is some kinda adhesive. How do you guys clean this part. I wiped of most of the gunk, what kinda adhesive can I use to replace it?

The bottom portion of the seal at the spot welds is even worse, common area for rust on FJ’s and 4Runners. Did you check that as well? The black stuff is some kind of 3m weatherstrip sealant goop that is brushed on. I can’t seem to recall the name of.
