Greetings!

Hello everyone! I am the father of a new owner of a 2011 Silver Toyota 4Runner SR5 (my son). We are going to work on it and do some mods together. I have a long history with drag racing and race engines but not so much in this area. The 4Runner has a lift kit on it and some nice Kenda AT tires. So we got the Tacoma 17 inch TRD wheels that he loved. So that's handled. Now it's the front grill. This is a tad bit overwhelming subject. Is there a budget front bumper conversion or mods that wouold change it from Silver to all black? Maybe a budget LED? Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks for any advice or suggestions. Welcome.....It's pretty cool that you get to do these projects with your son. What a great way to spend time together.

Are you just wanting to change the color of the bumper? No cutting or prepping to add bull bar with a wench? There are bumper specific paints out there that would probably do the trick...being that it matches the other body panels though it might get a little more in depth with prep and such.

I was sort of looking for a middle ground somewhere between a grill guard and paint. I finally found some very cool grill guard bumper combos but they were 1000k so thats not gonna happen. I found more things to look at on google by not using specific keywords and just used 2011 4runner. I don't think the SR5 grill lends itself to being blacked out with that huge bumper going through it.
