Ok so while waiting for @WanderlostOverland to post an update on their dual battery system, I have been doing research. Genesis Offroad has some interesting products. I have no affiliation with them and only happened on their website. Here is their dual battery kit and it's pretty inclusive, however, i am worried about 100 pounds of batteries sitting in the stock location. This kit uses two Group 25 batts..thoughts?

What I am leaning towards doing instead of dual batteries, is going with a single battery such as the Genesis Offroad kit or other and using a single group 34 Oddysey as shown in the link below.

Here is the single Genesis kit...

    https://www.genesisoffroad.com/Single-Battery-Kit-p/153-stbk.htm

Reasons for going single vs double...
    1. Can easily upgrade this kit later on for dual batteries if needed. The other battery could be mounted on the other side of the engine bay.

    2. The Group 34 batt is roughly 9 pounds heavier than stock so with the tray and new batt we are talking about 15 or so pounds more than stock. The two Group 24's in the dual batt kit come to 100 pounds. There have been known issues of the fender area cracking under heavy batteries in the 4Runner.

    3. The cost of single kit is considerably lower than a dual kit even after factoring the cost of carrying a jump pack just in case the single batt goes dead.

    4. I don't need a winch...yet.

    5. I will only be powering a fridge and a few accessories.

So please post your thoughts or suggestions. Thanks!

I just ordered the dual 25 battery kit, Owner tells me it shouldnt be an issue and I've already filled the other 3 corners under the hood with other accessories

Nice, I look forward to your review. It seems like a solid kit and competitive price wise especially not having to build cables.

LOL! Sorry about the delay. Some of the parts and pieces are on backorder but should be getting to us soon.
In the meantime we'll leave you with this little teaser: REDARC

I got my Genesis dual setup installed, seems pretty beefy bracket and since you drill 4 holes in fender well and bolt it down which adds strength I don't think weight will be an issue.
