Hi all. Trying to install a pedal commander. Looks easy, but having the same issue as others in trying to remove the factory sensor plug. I've been fighting for an hour with no luck. Should I be trying to push it together from the side (in) or push the top of the tab down towards the pedal? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. All the vids make it look easy, but from other poster's struggles too, it's not as easy as it looks. I don't want to resort to pliers or vise grips. Thanks.

When I installed my pedal pretender I pushed the connector in then pushed the clip open. It was a pain but it came out. Then the pedal pretender came out when I learned you can do the same with your foot.

lol "pedal pretender" in a pedal commander conversation sounds like a Freudian slip.

Don’t use pliers. It’s not easy, but if I can do it anybody can. And don’t take all the negativity too seriously. I love mine. Even took it off my ‘21 when I traded it in and put it on my ‘24.

From the other thread: Press in against itself at the paddle so the hole lifts like a teeter totter away from the latch
