Any one want this? I do not need it and I am getting ready to rip it apart. Located in grays harbor Washington. 346,000 miles runs and drives needing tlc. I have put around 2,000 miles on it since I finished installing the engine That was installed by another. It needs the windshield and throughout bearing replaced. I do not think the top has ever been removed. It has all the interior plastic for the top. The rear cargo light works. The back window works with a key and inside.

I would like to get 3,500.00 for it. This way I do not have to take all the parts that are better than the parts on my 4quoia build. It has all matching vin numbers on hood, doors, fenders, tail gate and core support. I have not found any signs of being altered. It does have paint issues, clear coat pealing, 2 small dings in tail gate and 1 on the rear quarter by the tail light. The only rust I have found is the cosmetic L tin trim on the removable top. I had the interior panel off and is not warped or water damaged.

It will make me sad to pull it apart so maybe it will be a good truck for you.

I hope someone takes it from me or it will not look so sporty. The front end will turn brown and the tail gate will turn silver.

Looks like a great starting point for a restoration. GLWS!

No one has had there hands in this one yet. I agree it is bone stock and a blank slate for some one to mod just the way they may want.

I’d take it if you were on the east coast.

Ever had a blower motor that vibrated on high? Today I looked into a friends 96 t4r. I had a spare blower, so I pulled the old one out. Rat's! I think I found the problem.

I put in the spare so I could show my buddy.

Best of luck with the sale. Don't give up on it. Someone out there is looking for that sort of project. I have enough tired iron already but it looks pretty good for the right person.

    bump,
There is a benefit to having a spare 4runner parked outside, while working on another. The other day I was trying to figure out what bolt I needed to mount the brake pedal assembly, so I went over to old blue and took the bolt out and matched it with the one In my pile. LOL. saved my hours of digging in my toyota lego's.

Are you going to keep until you sell? Or are you willing to part it out?

I would like to keep it whole. If there were enough people who wanted the parts that I would not be left with much, that would be ok. I do not have the room for it to be picked apart over time. Just curious, what are you looking for?

It will be available altered from its original form. This post was made to first give others a chance at the 4runner. Since there was no interest, I made the difficult decision of using parts from this nice 88 for the 4quoia build. After I have swapped the parts, I will then reassemble this 88. Then it will be available again.

SR5 gauges, Alloys that need refinishing, Double DIN Kenwood w/ 4 speakers (3rd set of speaker, 4th receiver). @ 443,xxx miles - rebuild engine, rebuild trans, Softopper, LCE header, new cat, Bosal muffler/tailpipe, paint.
I know this is an old post but - If you do decide to part this out I would be interested in what is available. Looking to try making a mold from the shifter surround and your appears to be intact. My 88 has not faired so well, between living in an "semi-arid desert climate" and 90 lb. Boxer here isn't much left. 30 year old plastic doesn't fair well in the heat.
