Frustrated

I recently bought an 03 limited edition 4Runner ,I don’t know much about it other than it ran great on the 45 min ride home I had been almost out of gas so I filled the tank then parked it. 20 min later I drove it to the store. But same day I went to go to work and it wouldn’t start. I replaced 2 relays that pertained to the fuel system and today I replaced the fuel pump (that was fun) when I went to start it it seemed like I almost wanted to start but not quite I tried it twice more each time seemed better than the last but the battery died. I’m currently charging the battery. Anyone have any suggestions on what the issue might be now?

 

Bad gas maybe?

 

Is there no way to check for that?

 

Not really. If it was me, I’d add a couple bottles of dry gas and see if that helps before anything else

 

If you can get it to start take it to an auto parts store so they can check your battery and alternator. Did the gas station seems legit? Shell, exxon, etc. or was it like one of those little pop shop places? Sometimes those people get got diluting their gas to make more of a profit, or buy cheaper gas for their tanks.

In order for car to start you need spark and fuel

Have you 100% made sure there is fuel going to cylinders?

Do you have error codes?

All these people chiming in with "welcome".. are they bots
