This sounds like a great setup. Are your B-12 rear springs for some added weight?

I have ever noticed this “nosedive” issue. Even back on stock suspension. Guess I drive like an old man lol. Or a sane person.

The people that complain way to much about it are the ones that are forgetting they have purchased a 4WD SUV not a sports car. Yes it will nose dive at times. It’s the type of vehicle it is. They put on some 5100 set with a little lift on it and go wow no more nose dive not realizing why.

Having a history with the original wranglers, broncos and blazers would really have them rethinking what nose dive could be.

Didn’t notice the nose dive or lean until after i replaced the suspension. I do drive like an old man and I’m light on the throttle considering my avg mpg is 19mpg. (My wife tells me I’m lucky to be alive considering how slow I drove). I replaced the suspension because I wanted something more capable than the stock suspension and also the truck pulled horribly to the right since new (despite being aligned 3 times). Dealer blamed the stock tires which wasn’t the case as it continued to pull after they were replaced). Regardless I couldn’t tolerate the pulling to the right. The suspension shop (who installed the Billstein suspension, despite my not purchasing the parts from them) informed me that there was an asymmetrical and abnormal amount of ‘sag’ in the stock front suspension. For whatever that means, this shop does a lot of 4Runners and said my suspension sagged worse than what they typically see ‍♂️ Not sure if that’s really even a thing but no longer pulling to the right. Cool thing about these trucks is the availability of parts and the ease of modification to suit our individual needs. So San Angelo it doesn’t make someone wrong by making improvements to an already very capable truck. I like it enough to keep it even if my wife hates it and tells me to get the new LX.

Never said it was wrong. Only pointing out that some people think their 4WD should drive like a sports car. I have both stock and modified 4WDs. All to my taste knowing what I want and knowing how they are supposed to be based on what they are for.

In the end people can do what ever they want. Just understand what your getting and what the compromise will be when you change something like suspension.

Sounds to me that you have a dealer that is lazy, incompetent, didn’t care or all 3. Also why would you let a dealer slide with the tire excuse when it was proven that is not it?

I’ve been to 2 dealers here and they both go to the same school of BS. I’m fortunate enough to not need them for the service contract as I prefer to perform my own maintenance (as I grew tired of them over torquing the drain plugs and constant flim flam). Love the truck, but almost parted with it over the pulling. Wasn’t worth my time to dicker with the dealer and their inattentive service dept. Just taking my business elsewhere for my future purchases (each kid will b getting a 4Runner when they’re driving age). They’ll learn from me how to perform their own maintenance and how to recognize the shotty work being passed onto consumers. Appreciate ur encouragement as I absolutely should have went after the dealer to make my 4Runner right but I’m spread too thin at the hospital to take on the frustration of the service dept at Toyota dealer. Have a good day all.
