Front brake caliper gasket

Soooo...I was helping a buddy change out his brake pads. We had the front brake calipers off, while installing them back on, the gasket that sits inside the caliper that seals where the brake line fluid comes in, got smashed and needs replaced.

The local parts stores don't carry them in stock, and trying to find just that gasket online is proving difficult. Is the gasket something that could be sourced at a Home Depot/Ace Hardware in the specialty fastener/gasket area?

I would hope/assume that the gasket is a fairly standard size, but I've been wrong before. It's the littlest gasket here...

 

You might be able to buy a rebuild kit for calipers, but may be easier to go to Napa and buy a rebuilt caliper

whenever you replace the gasket on a caliper, tighten it and then hit the bolt top will a ball peen hammer then tighten it some more. Because of the imperfections in the caliper metal you may experience leakage if you dont. So tighten it up by hand, then hit it with a ball peen then you will get another 1/4 to half turn on the bolt.

Welcome from Wisconsin! Did you check Rock Auto? Depending on the year (you didn't specify) they might have a caliper rebuild kit, caliper service kit, or something similar that has the "gasket" you're looking for. Good luck.
