Hello, Is there anyone on here that has a 4runner that didn't come with the add on front and rear bumper valances who has bought them and then installed them on their runner. Does anyone have any feedback on cutting the slots needed to install them like factory . How did you know where to cut all those slots so it would line up properly ? Can the install be done with the bumper remaining on the vehicle ? Appreciate any help, Thank you

Probably can't be done with it on as the clips require access to the back of the bumper to install. There's a "keeper" that slides in side to side that you can't install from the front.

Beyond that I have no advice for you... except maybe to suggest rethinking the valances. They actually are less desirable (IMO) for actual off road use as they stick out farther. I was trying to find a MGM SR5 locally to swap mine out with for that reason, but now they are so scratched up ain't no one gonna want them...

Appreciate the reply. I just find it hard to believe no one has done it ? I don't off road , so looking for the look in black. My 4runner is white.

I added the TRD Pro black valance to the front of my SR5. I was originally going to follow this article but I decided to remove the front bumper and cut the slots to clip it in place. I bought these clips from Amazon (Amazon states that they won't fit the 4runner by they definitely do) and watched this video on YouTube to help with my removal of the bumper for the first time. The slots that you need to cut in your bumper should be marked on the back side of the bumper. I just used a drill to drill out the top and bottom of each slot and then use my rotary tool to cut the remaining portion of each slot. Once I had the slots cut out, the valance went into place and clipped together perfectly. I didn't do the rear valance so I can't say how difficult it is but I'm sure it's about the same as doing the front. Browse the forums for more info and watch some videos first and you should be fine. Also, if you plan on swapping out your fog lights, do them at the same time you install the front valance. It's a bit easier while the bumper is off. Good luck!

Remove your bumper. Usually they are marked under your bumper where the holes/slots are supposed to be in.

I added a rear valance to my 2020 4Runner Venture. The rear bumper needs to be removed and slots need to be cut as indicated above. There are quite a few good youtube videos on removing the rear bumper cover, which I followed.
