I have a 2018 TRD off road premium with 84k miles. All routine maintenance performed. Vehicle in excellent condition. Planning on it being my "forever vehicle" aka "exit ride." Only concern is that parts might become hard to obtain at some point down the road. Anyone foresee that as a problem?

body/trim parts, maybe. but it's such a popular platform, I doubt other parts will be too hard to get then. just a guess

My understanding is that Toyota provides parts support for 20 years.

Nonsense, we haven't even begun receiving them in junkyard yet.

Please wipe this concern from your mind, absolutely no issue on the even distant horizon.

Between what’s made, salvaging from wrecks, it’s not going to be an issue for a while. Eventually probably, I’d look to earlier generations for a rough reference but of course circumstances vary.

After almost 8 years of ownership I have just experienced my first glitch, a flashing TPMS light. :(

I'm planning on buying and keeping spares for interior wear items like the steering wheel and driver seat covers. As for mechanical parts I don't see those becoming scarce for a very long time.

There were 1.5 million 5th gen’s made. There should be no shortage of junkyard parts or aftermarket parts for a very long time.

I think in the US it is a requirement that replacement parts be provided by the manufacturer for 10 years.

It’s worth considering that over the course of a decade rubber seals and plastic parts can deteriorate on the shelf.

Whether or not aftermarket companies will offer reproductions will depend upon the demand.

I have a 20yr old Accord as a daily a parts are still available. I am sure with the 5th gen more units sold parts will not be an issue in our lifetime. Pricey sure but available

The headliner in my Accord just fell this hot summer and I thought that’s it can’t make this look nice. To my suprise I found a place that replaced it with OEM like fabric. It looks great but cost $1k. Cheap to me since the car is great.

We could stock all this stuff and get totaled out tomorrow buy it and when you need it

No, there are huge supplies of parts available, aftermarket, o.e.m., etc. The 5th Gen. had a production run of what, 14 years? You'll be fine.

Since buying it in 2014, I’ve never had a problem finding a part for my ‘07 if that tells you anything. Hit this milestone a couple of weeks ago.

The only thing you'll need is bigger tires and a new roof rack. Your raptor lights will still be going strong.

Clearly only option is to trade in on a 25 trail hunter. The rig is done.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 36 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 36yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
15 model years to sell to…..part houses will stock parts for a VERY long time.

Like the 3rd Gens, after +20 years the only parts that I know of that are hard to come by are the rubber door seals.
