What's your favourite Toyota memory? Doesn't have to be just 4Runners, just as long as its Toyota. Was it getting your first Toyota? Paying off your Toyota? Finally installing that lift kit you've dreamt of? A road trip you took? Whatever your memory was, share it here! Mine was buying my 2nd Gen 4Runner. Don't care that it's 30 years old. Still puts a smile on my face any time I'm in it. Wouldn't trade it for anything newer

I have ton of memories with this 1987 Corolla. 1.3L 4speed manual trans, rwd. It is the car I learned to drive when I was in middle school inside our land and private road. During high school time after coming home take it for a ride and wipe all the tire marks so my parents won't notice I drove.

It was extremely reliable and never left us stranded in the middle of the road. We have transported cement, floortiles, wood, etc for home projects. It was kept even when we bought new cars. It was like a family member and other cars were like a tool.

Since my parents are old we sold it to a relative. I think it should have half a million kilometers now with original powertrain.

Pretty sure it was 1991, It was the opening of deer hunting season in Wisconsin. I had a 1986 Toyota pickup, single cab, 22RE engine, auto trans. and some real aggressive 10.50X31 tires, bias ply yet, tread that a small child could get lost in! We had a blizzard starting early in the day, and when it was over, kinda, we had about 20" or better of snow. My neighbors always took the little Ford tractor(8N) pulling a small trailer to the woods for deer hunting, the drive there consisted of a large field to cross and then a smallish hill to the woods. When I decided I had enough of watching it snow I went to go over to the neighbors to see how they had "come out" deer hunting, nobody home, no Ford tractor sitting in the yard, what the heck? It was almost quitting time for the day, so I decide to drive down to the hill by the woods.. holy crap! Upon entering the field I find a lot of snow, went down the trail, and there was the little Ford tractor.. swamped! I started 'bucking' snow with the front end of the Toy, spinning out, backing up and hitting it again, finally about 20 mins. of fighting snow, made it to the neighbors, 'rescued them' from their blind, took 'em to the house! That little truck had the neighborhood 'buzzing' for a while. What a remarkable beast!

I had an 86 4x4 single cab . I added a Detroit locker since I was always doing off-road trips above Roosevelt Lake. One day we found an archery javelina hunter stuck in the mud in his huge Ford F-250 or 350. I offered to pull him out. He said no way that little truck is going to get me out. I hooked up the chain to the front tow hook, opened my hood, and pulled him out on the 2nd yank. Kinda miss that truck! 1st one I bought with my own money at 21. Had about a $167 a month payment back then.

This was about 6 years ago. Had a 2018 Tacoma OR. Made it into work with snow on the way. Throughout the morning the snow got heavier and patients started cancelling. Employees went home. Doc asked me if I could stay to cover phones and emergencies. No problem. Left for lunch...decided no lunch and went 4-wheeling around town. No other traffic.....even the police weren't out. So much fun!

Wow, real nice car! The old Toyotas were just the best. Reliable, easy to work on, and they took pretty much anything you threw at them.

My first new car was a 1977 Corolla 4cyl and a 5-speed drove that car for 130K + miles without any issue! Simple to maintain and inexpensive to keep going...In 1978 I bought a '73 Landcrusier from my dentist, he had just bought a new one. I added some headers, bigger carb and improved ignition system and drove that LC up and down Baja California for years on surf trips and camping. That was a GREAT vehicle! Got in and out of some amazing places and could carry more than we ever needed. Sold it to a surf buddy around 1990 who as far as I know still has it! I really appreciate my T4R, but would not mind seeing that old LC in my garage too!

Oh yes, those Land Cruisers! I'd like to save up for an original one. Maybe that'll be my next car. :D

My 4000mi road trip traveling to all the parks from Maine to Tennessee during COVID, it was so awesome. Particularly loved Skyline drive and Blue Ridge Parkway.

This might be silly for some but for me the best memory was achieved this year :dancingbacon: when I finally got the chance to go to Moab. It only took me 30 yrs to get there! I grew up in the east coast (Tidewater area) Southeast Virginia, and as young kid and in a hard working family, I always wanted to go but it was hard to get to Utah from such far away place with limited :spending:. Now leaving in Texas, I was a bit closer but still life had different priorities for me.

And life as it is, when I had the time, I didn't have the funds to do it right, and when I had the funds, I didn't have the time.....so it was always something.

But this past summer, all the conditions were just right! No family events, work was quiet, I had some coin to do it right, so I said I got to go before they put on a wheelchair one day and wheel me in that way.

The 4R got me thru a whole week of trails and adventures, i was having fun and was extremely impressed about the offroad capability of the 4R and FINALLY using most of the mods I have put on blue. Every time I came out of the trails I had a sense of accomplishment and that blue got me in and out safely, and then finally I had the opportunity to see Moab in person, I went back in time, really and felt like I was in my teens. 20250819_130031.jpg

At the end of hells revenge:
    20250819_155525.jpg
proof that blue was in real battle that day.
This trip had such an influence in me that no wonder my avatar is on hells gate.

    P.S. You asked, you got!
