Factory trailer hitch

    Is the factory trailer hitch ok to handle a 1000 lb 5x8 enclosed trailer? The trailer will usually only have about 200 to 300 lbs in it at the max, but, we do cross country with it. Just want to make sure the factory hitch is suitable for this.

    You'll have no problem. I pull a 5x8 open trailer often loaded with 2000-2500# of whatever house project I'm working on.
