Hello all, so I took over wife’s 16’ 4wd SR5 runner and boy does the stock suspension suck! I’m a long time 1st gen tacoma owner with a fully built prerunner play truck. 4runner is a bit different.
Just received my new suspension parts. 2.5 icon non resi extended travel coilovers, wheelers off-road T13 1.5” rear springs w/ 5100s for now. I will order an UCA not sure what yet.

so question, will I need extended brake lines in front or rear? I will add later on for peace of mind but will be necessary right away? Searching didn’t show much info.

For my ELKA 2.5 remote res my 4x4 shop suggested to add extended brake lines in rear. They said front would not have much flex needing for extended brake lines. Again this is for my setup and might be different to yours. Might be a safe to have them just in case.

Yeah, I may have to grab some. Was hoping to get by without for a while especially since adding a set of ucas in now. Went from a simple 5100s all around to more more more, wifey gonna be mad lol. Easier to ask for forgiveness than permission!

Unless you’re going long travel you won’t need it.

yeah I wasn’t sure since the icons are extended travel, like 1-1.5” more droop. I ran them long ago on my 1st gen taco and couldn’t remember if I ran new lines upfront. I have the long travel taco so I will not go down that rabbit hole with this... at least for a while ha

I feel your pain mate... So, I had just decided that it was time to lift my 2020, and it seems like a never ending black hole. I got the Eibach Pro-Truck Stage 2 lift system delivered last Wednesday, but in reading, I then had to get the upper control arms. Got the OME 00004 delivered. So I made the appointment to install next week, guy tells me you should do the aggressive tyres now... For the last week and a half, it's been :spending: (too bad they don't have an AMEX version) LOL!

    Cheers,

    Sean
