Good afternoon everyone, my wifes 2013 SR5 2x4 that is in desperate need of a suspension upgrade its just a road runner and I'm willing put money into it vs buying a new car. So I just ordered a Eibach pro lift stage 1 set at the lowest setting 2.75 from wheelers offroad. What else is recommended? I'm going to try to get away without doing upper control arms right now but if they need to be replaced hows Freedom offroad fare?
Also should I look into extended swaybar links or swaybar drop brackets? Anything else I might need please chime in.

Only thing I’d recommend for your setup is some UCA’s. I don’t think freedom UCA’s really have adjustability so they may not work but I’m not certain. You won’t need extended links unless you’ll be running extended travel suspension.

Thanks, I called Freedom OR today and they are for 2-4" lift, with the Eibach at 2.75 it should work out perfect. Besides they offer a great LEO discount.

UPS delivered the Eibach pro stage 1 today. Looks like Really good quality. I went ahead and ordered Freedom Offroad upper control arms, they should be delivered Monday so off to the shop on Tuesday for installation.

Well turns out I couldn't wait so I dropped the 4runner off at the shop this morning at 0800 and they were finished at 1300. I didn't have the UCA installed today they are in transit. WOW what a difference in the ride it makes!!!! No more Noise dive and cornering doesn't feel unstable like before. The alignment was spot on and no issues with it at all soI'll hang onto the UCAs for while. Since it's only a road runner and will not see any offroading I'm Very pleased with the initial ride quality. I think we'll take her for a drive up the counrty this weekend to see how she handles.

    Congrats!

Yeah, this system rides really nice and makes our trucks handle significantly better.

Yes it dose, I put about 70 miles on it so far and this is what 4runners should handle like from the factory.

Good to know that my recommendation for this kit was not just to make myself feel better about the purchase. After a little over a year, i feel like maybe the springs could be a bit stiffer. Still very glad i went this route for the first go.

So are you supposed to take it in for a look see, and re-torque at about that milage? Good to hear you are both happy with it.

Yes its going back in Thursday afternoon for a re torque. I guess the reason I'm so pleased is I had a Jeep LJ and had nothing but issues after issues with it when I added a lift. I was so turned off by the jeep experience I really didn't want to chance it on the wife's 4runner.

I have the same suspension being shipped. I've noticed on some 4Rs with the Eibach Pros that they look a little low in the back. Like negative rake angle. What does everyone think about adding an extra 1/2 to 3/4 inches to the rear? I was thinking something like the Cornfed spacers...

It's been forever since I did the install, measurements are posted in the Eibach thread. The driver side rear sits lower for some reason and I added a 3/8" spacer. Install the kit, give it a week or two and see how it sits. Adding a spacer in the rear is like a ten minute process. That being said, the rear does not sit lower then the front... Unloaded.

    This kit levels a 4runner.

When I say level, I mean even height from the ground to the top of the fender wells.

If you want some rake, add a spacer to the rear, get the Eibach Load Leveling system in the back, or get a different rear coil.

Yeah, thanks guys. I think I'm going to add that 3/4" Spacer from Cornfed. I do like the lean effect. Especially when I'm going to have it loaded up with family, dog and the camping gear most of the summer.

I went for the different coil route. I ordered the ICON 2" rear coil instead of the Eibach one with my Pro Truck Lift. Shouldn't be much of price difference either when you compare Eibach rear coil + spacer vs Icon or Wheelers coil.

Yeah... The only problem is that I ordered the Kit already. Thanks for your input. The people on this site are amazing.
