Old Man Emo springs, methanol injection, lights (fog, driving, ditch), winch, bull bar
I've spent 6 weeks completely renewing the underside of my 2001. Air hammered, needle scaled, POR15'd, new fuel fill, fuel tank, 4X Innovations tank skid plate 190 lph fuel pump, high capacity Deatschwerks 10 micron fuel filter all new charcoal canister and lines, outboard rear shock mounts, OME shocks and springs, Hardpan bar mounts, adjustable hardpan bar, remote differential breather, differential bash plate, and now I'm getting to installing my meth injection and egt wiring. As before, I decided to renew the truck before installing a 2nd gen TRD supercharger that was just rebuilt.
The installation of the EGT probe looks to be a bee with an itch. Exhaust manifold is double walled, and the closest I can get from the underside is maybe 2 feet, but it is clear space. I could easily use a long drill and then tap it, but welding in a bung from that far away? What have others done? Put it before the 1st cat and use Kentucky windage to estimate actual EGT at the manifold?
