Hey everyone! I bought a 1991 5speed with the 3.0L. I’ve done some research and I know the 3.0L’s are bad for head gaskets. I’m currently fixing the bit of rust before I get it on the road to see if the motor is any good. I am tossing around the idea of putting a 2.0L turbo or supercharged ecotec in if the 3.0l is no good. I know the R151F tranny will bolt to it but I’m not sure about clutch and flywheel. Has anyone done this yet? All reply’s are appreciated. Thanks.

    Blasphemy!

JK. I haven't heard of it myself, though.

    I'd probably try to locate a 22-rte. Or maybe a 5vz swap.

Dude, you know that the ecotech is a opel engine?

Putting that into a Toyota is definitely, like thatbassguy said, blasphemy!
