    Hello Fellow Toyota Loyalists ,
Admittedly we do not own a 4Runner (Yet)
But please allow us to explain .
We do have a 2023 Tacoma TRD and find the truck 'exceptional' , in all but one respect .
'It is difficult to enter and exit the driver seat'
    - , plus when driving long distances the back of my upper legs begin to ache .
    - We have checked into the Seat Jackers and feel confident they may help during long drives but fail to see how they would assist in entering and exiting .
    - - Our question is ; have any of you (4Runner owners) purchased your car and not a Tacoma , based on this issue ?
    - - Is a 2023 4Runner easier to get into than a 2023 Tacoma ?
    - - We are asking this as an effort to hopefully avoid a trip into a local Toyota dealership . (They are So Overbearing and Pushy , taking all the fun out of looking at cars)
Thank you in advance for any advise or experience you may have encountered with this issue .
    - - One last thing , I am about 6' tall and 200 lbs and my bones all seem to be working ok at 71 . - -
    Thanks Again !

I've driven a 3rd gen Tacoma, and own a 5th gen 4Runner.The great thing about the 4Runner is that the cabin is sized for actual full grown humans.

I'm barely 5'10, and was not comfortable in the Tacoma. I am much more comfortable in the 4Runner, it has a higher seating position, and it has up and down seat adjustment, which the Tacoma lacks.

Test driving the Taco cured me of any desire to own one.

100% the 4R is more comfortable.

Traded my 3rd Gen Tacoma for a 5th Gen 4Runner. No regrets. 4Runner is a better daily driver in every aspect and just as capable off road.

Tacoma bed was okay, but it’s not a good truck for doing things you need a truck for.

WOW ! That's just the info. And answer we were hoping to hear ! Thank you !
We have had a few responses today after posting our question but no definite answers based on personal experience .
After your response , it looks like a trip into the dealer is imminent for us now .
    - - We realize our question probably sounded petty and possibly a bit insulting , especially to 3rd Gen Tacoma owners , but to us , the issue is real .
In our defence , we still drive and enjoy an 06 Tacoma SR5 we purchased new (233K miles) , consequently we are loyal to Toyota , so the 4Runner appeared the best alternative .
Thanks Again for taking the time answering our question !

I'd say it's worth stopping by a CarMax that has a 4Runner in stock - less pain fighting staff and you'll be able to climb all over it. Seat is the same since 2010 save for what's covering it.
