Driver footwell ground point?

    Is the bolt that is securing the driver side footwell fuse panel suitable for a ground?

    From what I remember, but it's been a while, there are multiple ground locations in that area. Look behind the kick panel also, I think that is the one I used.

    Hook it up as a ground, with the circuit turned on and consuming power take a voltage drop measurement from the terminal that’s grounded at the bolt to the battery negative post. If there is a 0 volt reading you’re good.

    Voltage drop is a better test then ohming it out for continuity.

    That’s fine when installing anything. There’s no reason not to voltage drop it, it takes 3 seconds requires no extra equipment and gives you everything you need to know. Why would you choose to test only the ground point vs the entire ground circuit? There is no valid rational reason not to do it. In the world of automotive development you always check voltage drops for anything electrical. You can have a “good” ground that’s not appropriate for the load of the component, that is electrical 101.
