    Hi 4Runner Fans!
Was wanting to get some input from 2022 4runner owners as to what they actually paid for their extended warranties. I don't put many miles on so was looking at the 10year 100,000 mile Platinum Toyota program.
    Happy New Year to all!

Whatever price the dealer asks you, just pay yourself and put that money away for future repairs.

I agree. I have bought the extendo warranties on 2 vehicles. Never needed it. Keep your money.

The 4R has proven itself to be one of most reliable vehicles on the planet.

Even if it wasn't a super reliable vehicle, I've bought an extended warranty, needed it twice, and they wouldn't pay for the work. I'll never buy another one.

I hear what several of you are saying but the 2022 sport has new hydraulics and safety electronics that concern me long term.
Surely some of the members have purchased the extended warranty. I would be interested in knowing what they paid so I will know if the amounts quoted by the dealer are competitive. I am particularly interested in the 10 year 100k Platinum.

The platinum at the dealer I went to was only for a additional 4 years / 55,000 miles. They tried selling it to me by saying it’s only $11 or so a month added into my monthly payment, that guy was a snake. When the paper work came to the sales table it was $40+ a month. $3,000 on paper. I told them to remove it because I was lied to & they offered the ‘employee discount’ and lowered it to $2,000...I still declined.
