I'm wanting to modify the rear power panel in the Cargo area to accommodate a couple things I have planned:

    1) Power Toggle Switch
    2) Slot that I can fish cables for an add-on Subwoofer (power wire, ground, RCA's, Bass Control RJ11 wire, and Remote Wire) - Subwoofer/Amp won't be permanent and I want to quickly disconnect (plan on using Anderson Connectors for power wire and some other quick disconnects for the lower gauge wires)
    3) Expansion... Maybe I'll add another switch or jack in the future.

I came across this product for $75, but I would prefer one that just has a cigaratte lighter and AC port and a blank "canvas" for me to drill and do my own modifications:

Do they make such a thing? It seems a little involved where it's not just a "plate" and has fasteners that attach to the cargo trim piece. Curious if anyone else on this forum has modified this panel in any way. If not, I may reach out to see if they can make something like that for me.

I'm also considering hacking the OEM panel myself (remove the vent slot), but not sure if there is something aftermarket that exists.

For reference, I found this on the web of a close-up of what I'm talking about (note: mine is not broken, whoever posted this pic has the issue)

Some dude I used to wheel with just removed his factory piece, cut and drilled the panel for rivnuts, and ordered a custom laser cut plate from sendcutsend. Looked clean but not perfect, but I'd imagine it would be super easy to do and you can get exact dimensions to use the parts you want.

Thanks. I'm just happy that panel pops out and isn't permanent part of the trim piece. Worse case, if I'm not happy with the result, I can always replace it down the line. I hate permanently modifying big panels. I'll see what I can come up with.

I bought a 3x3 sheet of HDPE plastic (about 1/4 in thick) at a local big box hardware store. They had it along with the polycarbonate and other “craft” sheet material. It’s good stuff and easy to cut and dress when you need to make panels like this. It might be easier and better to come up with your own solution. With some things, I find that searching out the right product is as much work as figuring something out myself.
