Hey y'all, I have been trying to find the right part to cover up the bottom of the console box but have fallen into some confusion. There appears to be some sort of missing tray/liner and I imagined there must be a corresponding OEM part but the Toyota parts shop didn't have anything and the one I could find on Toyota Parts Deal is an extremely grainy photo with a less than helpful description, anyone able to tell me if I've found what I'm looking for? nit-picky thing I know but its bothering me.

Our console boxes have liners in them? No shit!? I've never cared enough to even look or notice. I just toss crap in there and let it scratch up the plastic/cloth/felt/whatever.

If such a thing doesn't exist I might just make my own, not sure why but looking at the bolts at the bottom just bugs me.

You should go all out. Make that shit fancy! Put some quilted leather in there. Make it look nicer than the seating area of your 4Runner! You'll be the talk of the chat forum and the envy of all of us.

Console box? You mean the trash can under the arm rest?

By console box, do you mean the OEM safe (with combination lock and 4 numbers/rollers)? If so, that piece of carpet comes with it and goes at the bottom. It's actually handy since it's a metal box and without it, everything has a metal-on-metal rattle.

So... @JustBeachy - if you have the OEM safe - aka "console box" - that piece of carpet is what you need at the bottom. If you don't have the safe, then not sure what's at the bottom. I have the safe in both my Runners.

    Good luck!

There's a piece of felt in there from the factory. If it's missing, cut a piece of tool box drawer liner to fit and be done with it.

It seems some clarification is needed on "console box"; regardless, this would do the trick:

Yes 58815A in the schematic corresponds to your #58815-35030.

I used a leftover scrap of non-slip boat flooring on the metal sections of my console security box. Soft enough to cushion whatever goes in there, durable enough to last decades of use. It’s a great material, I used it as a headliner for my side by side.
