All 4 doors will lock with the fob and the interior driver switch.
The driver door will not unlock with the interior switch or the fob, the other 3 door work fine.
I bought a new Aisin actuator and installed it in the driver's door and the problem persists.

I guess it is possible but unlikely that I got a new and defective actuator.
It can't be the switch or fob since functioning fine for unlocking the other 3 doors.
I am a bit perplexed with this problem.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks, Steve (Golden, CO)

I guess nobody has seen this or no body knows. Maybe I posted this in the wrong place or did something else wrong?

Yeah, this is weird. I highly doubt it's the actuator.

    Not sure how to troubleshoot.

Looking online, when things get squirrely with the locks, it often points to the BCM.

Here is a similar thread but not as odd as your symptoms:

Does the new actuator make a sound when you press the unlock button?

Do you happen to have a pedal commander?

Welcome.I've experienced this issue on my maxima years ago. It turned out to be a bad pin on the bcm. Sorry i don't know which pin it is on the the 4r. Just my experience with that issue, would definitely start following the actuator wiring back.

The new (and original) actuator make no sound when attempting to unlock.
I do not have a "pedal commander" and I am not sure what that is.
I appreciate Negusm posting the ling to the other thread. Sounds complicated after reading that thread.
Steely123 thanks for sharing your experience.
I will probably put the door back together for now before I forget how. I might have to live with this unfortunately as all the electrical stuff is scary and mystical to me. Especially when I start seeing microchips. Thanks to all.

Since it isn't too urgent, I would get the numbers off from your BCM and start searching for a correct used one off from ebay to try. Seems like there are 7 out there and you have to have the correct one.
