While awaiting delivery of my 2023 TRD Off Road 4Runner i got to thinking about how high the strap on the hatch is when the hatch is open. My wife is 5'1" and i hope she can reach the strap when the hatch is open. Does anyone else have a spouse/family member this height? Can they reach the strap?

First, congrats on the new ride and welcome to the forum!

My wife is 5’7” and doesn’t even use the strap, as she can reach the recesses in the door itself perfectly fine. I imagine the strap (which is obviously a lot lower) would be well within reach, but maybe someone else has someone whose actually 5’1”.

My wife is 4' 11" and she is using the lifted 4Runner Limited. It was lifted since 2020. I don't think you should worry.

Only thing she complain is that the 4Runner is slower than her previous Venza. :drunk:

My wife is 5’, and she could reach the strap before it was lifted. Now it’s lifted she can on her toes, but I’m looking to replace the stock strap with a longer one (it isn’t difficult to swap out).
