2016 4Runner

I first had this issue about 2 months ago. The problem resets with an analyzer but returns after a period of time. The shifter operation becomes very rough and the D indicator on the dash disappears. The shifter mechanism was cleaned and lubricated and operated normally.

Neutral safety switch tends to go bad on 4runners, that might be the issue.
