Matte black valance and grill with no letters. I was very gung ho about it before install but now I’m thinking it looks a little ghetto aftermarket. Thoughts? You’re not going to hurt my feelings.IMG_4174.jpg IMG_4181.jpg

I am old school and like tons of chrome on my Limited. Your truck looks good now, but good luck keeping that all-black car clean. Personally, I would prefer something contrasting to break up front nose lines. Maybe add TRD silver colored front shield?

Looks incomplete without the letters IMO, but thats likely because my brain is expecting the letters to be there. That said, I wouldn't let anyone here persuade you one way or the other. Leave it for two weeks and see how you feel about it.

"Leave it for two weeks and see how you feel about it." - This is great advice. I do agree that it looks like something is missing where the "TOYOTA" should be but that may be just because I am used to it.

Looks fine, if you really want lettering after a couple weeks you can even do something other than the Toyota word mark.

Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias went and turned the “FLEX” on his car to something more personal!

It looks like you got in an auto accident, rear-ended someone, and cheaped-out on getting it fixed by buying cheap aftermarket replacement parts.

I am in the same camp. Not a fan of the Pro heritage grille bass mouth look. The 4R grille needs some contrast, even if it's just T O Y O T A... IMO.

They do offer 4RUNNER lettering also.

Oh jeez.... that is exactly the image that I had hiding in the back of my mind that I was afraid to actually acknowledge. I appreciate your candor.

I guess I'll stew on it for a few days with my next possible move being to try and heat up and remove the center grill overlay and replace it with the oem Pro piece with the letters.

At least get black toyota letters to keep with your black theme. I'm running black on mine. You'll get used to whatever you decide after 2 weeks as others have said.

Love the black valance, that's on my upcoming list of things to do. I personally like the 4RUNNER with the TRD R in it, I would vote for that as opposed to the naked grill.

I like the subtle, simple look. I think it looks too busy with the lettering. My opinion.

The lighting in the photos is not bright enough for me to form an opinion on how it looks. Maybe post some photos with the sun shining on the front of the truck?

The grille would look better if it was color matched.

    1. Do you know which company made your 4Runner?
    2. Do you care if anyone else knows who made your 4Runner?

Seriously though, I #$@*ing hate all the silly badging on cars - the manufacturer, model, engine, drive, trim level... so we can advertise for the car company? Nah. The fewer stickers and badges, the better.

I think the clean valence looks good.

I would put "TOYOTA" as on TRD PRO, or something else on your liking - just black without letters seems to me to be incomplete.

Without any lettering or badging, it looks too "tough guy" to me, personally. I agree with @Manhattan that there are way too many badges on cars, which is why I removed my "TRD Off Road" from the sides of mine, but the front still needs something. Just my 2 cents.

Looks good "blacked out", but if it bothers you maybe black TOYOTA letters across grill
